Leadership One Student At A Time!

Student in the 5th and 6th grade at Waterville Elementary are encouraged to run for a Student Leadership Council officer position for the 12-13 school year! Our Student Leadership Council, under the direction of Advisor Justin Grillo, provides a voice for students in our school. Students are elected President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer and hold those offices for the entire school year. Other students in grades 1st through 6th are chosen by their classmates to represent their class and serve as Student Leadership Council representatives for one quarter of the school year. Two representatives from each classroom attend regularly scheduled Student Leadership Council meetings.

Through the school's emphasis on "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People", other leadership roles will be available for students throughout the year. Positions such as Media Specialist, Official School Greeter, Playground Assistant, Library Assistant, Hallway Monitor, Biodiversity Manager, Gardener, Reporter, and Office Assistant will be available. Student will complete applications, obtain letters of recommendations, and go through an interview process for these very important positions. Students are encouraged to "match their talents" to the positions and discover "The Leader In Me!
